Speaker: Akintokun Adekunle Hazeez Akintokun Adekunle Hazeez started his career as a Regulatory officer at the Nigeria Nuclear Regulatory Authority(NNRA) before moving abroad on a scholarship for a post graduate degree in Medical Physics. Adekunle is a board certified Medical Physicist by the International Medical Physics Certification Board (IMPCB). Adekunle has spent over a decade in the middle east working in tertiary Hospitals as a Medical Physicist in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine. He also served as the hospital’s Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) developing and implementing a comprehensive hospital radiation safety program. In his last role in the Middle East, he worked as a Senior Medical Physicist and was involved in teaching Physics and Radiation Safety to resident doctors, technologists and nurses. He also held a leading role in many projects which include constructions of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine departments, cyclotron facility, accreditation processes (ACR, CBAHI and JCI). REGISTER HERE

NAMP joins the rest of the world to mark the annual International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is tagged Embrace Equity. Speaker: Lawal Rasheed Lawal Rasheed Segun received his Academic training in Electronic Physics from Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State. He holds a Master Degree in Radiation and Health Physics from the prestigious University of Ibadan. A Ph.D. student currently working on the Assessment of Radiological Hazards and Heavy metal levels in soil, plant and water around a uranium mining site in Nigeria. He is a lecturer and Research Associate in Department of Physics and Astronomy, faculty of Physical Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a young and vibrant researcher with a research interest score of 74.3. He has published a few numbers of papers in web of Science (Thomson Reuters) indexed journals which are cited more than 12times with an h- index of 2.
