Topic: HDR Prostate Brachytherapy: A Physicist’s Experience

Speaker: Dr Iyobosa B. Uwadiae, DIMPCB

Dr Iyobosa is a Board Certified Medical Physicist and currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Association of Medical Physicists (NAMP), member of the NAMP Clinical Training and Certification Board (NCCB), Chair of the FAMPO Professional Development Committee, and member of the IOMP women’s committee.

She is the Head of Medical Physics unit, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria and an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Radiation Biology, Radiotherapy, and Radiodiagnosis, College of Medicine, University of Lagos. 

She is passionate about the development of Medical Physics in Nigeria and the region. She serves on different committees and has initiated and coordinated several projects towards the cause of Medical Physics education, training and professional development.

She is an author and a singer and is passionate about human capacity building, teaching, training and mentorship.
